Iris Texture for Genesis - Not Showing - Help?

Hi, I've created a nice eye texture for Genesis, but can't get it to show on the model.
It's loaded into the Diffuse channel but the colour is wiping it out.
Help?
I want the texture to show as the colour, not the bland all over colour set by picking a single hue.

The color is multipled against the texture. Change the color to white and you'll see your texture the way you painted it.
That's worked... um, up to a point.
Now I've got this weird white sort of 3rd eyelid effect going on, what is that and how can I fix it?
Also it looks like I'm only seeing a corner of my iris texture - where can I find the original Genesis iris texture?
I've hunted and hunted but I can't find it.
If I can find it, I can see what that looks like and adapt my own to fit it...
But please can someone help with the weird 3rd eyelid thingie?
Is that a render or the preview window? I ask because that's rather like the Tori for V5 eyes always look for me in preview, but clear up in render.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this odd effect?
It almost looks as if it isn't using the correct UV layout...which UV template did you use for the iris and which is the eyeball actually using?
Ah, I thought it might be something like that, it's not using a UV texture at all. It looks to me like the texture map for the iris is much smaller than the one I've created.
I have no idea where to find the original texture map - can you help?
I have searched for hours and I just can't find it anywhere, but it's gotta be somewhere.
Where would Genesis's eye textures/uvmaps be?
