My name is John Caruso. I asked a question before about templates, but I am not sure how to get back to the page I asked it on. Could someone please help me? I have tried to use DAZ off and on for the past 8 years or so, but I keep getting confused about where everything is located. I apologise if I happen to be in the wrong forum. I use Bryce a lot, so I am unfamiliar with the use of DAZStudio. If someone could email me at: email removed for safety and help me to find my way around the forums I would greatly appreciate it. And if I am in the wrong forum for this question could you direct me to the proper one? John Caruso

This may be a good place to start.

Click on the video and start it and then click on the YouTube symbol to go to YouTube to see the full series of videos.

This is where you asked that question: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4772996/#Comment_4772996

For future reference, if you want to find a post you've made before, then you can go to your forum profile (click on the cog near the top of this page and select your username from the drop-down) then from the profile you can click on the cog there (the lower one, alongside your user name, not the one at the very top of the page) and select "Your Posts".

The answer to your question about where to place templates is: anywhere you like where you can find them again. They are not used in DAZ Studio itself, which is why DIM isn't interested in installing them. You just use them in a photo-editor (Photoshop, Gimp or whatever) to create your own textures for models you have bought. Personally I place mine in a folder I made called "Templates" inside my content library by unzipping the file to a sub-folder with the name of the product they relate to.
