Change in save functionality

Since the latest update to 4.12 I have been having the following issue.
When I save a scene either via file/save or control-S key combination the first save works as expected. The save dialogue box pops up and I can name the scene and save.
This is where things change. In the past if I made a change to the scene I could just hit the ctl-s and it would update the saved file. Now it tjhrows up the save dialogue box again. This is really annoying as I have to browse to find the original file and overwrite it.
This has also onflowed to 4.11 now.
Any help appreciated. I have checked the keyboard settings and it appears normal. As a check I set the controls back to default. No change.

Check that your "Author name" is setup in DS parameters.
DS doesn't want you to override by mistake a scene provided by another person, so it checks if the author name in the scene is the same as yours to determine if it can save the current scene directly or only "save as" a new one.
If your author name is not setup then it will consider you're not the scene's author.
Thanks Leana, I am at work at the moment but will checking that as soon as I get home. I have little enough hair as it is, no need to be pulling more out in frustration.

Many thanks @Leana - that was it. I had reinstalled Daz a couple of days ago and thought I had entered my usual details but must of missed that step. Updated my details and no more never ending prompt for the full scene name. My few remaining hairs thank you now that the hair pulling out crisis has passed.

Glad I could help :)
no... this problem was in 4.11
and when I try to save a file opened by double clicking.. it's a brand new save file
but if I open the scene with the file menu then it will save etc.

but as noted photoshop can cope with my opening the png files where they are.
Hi Alan,
I was not saying the problem was only in 4.12, that was just the version I was using at the time I noticed the error. As it turns out the version was not the issue. The problem was I had just reinstalled Daz and had not entered my account details. As Leana said this caused Daz to think I was not the artist that had saved the scene and so did not automatrically overwrite it. Once my details were entered the issue was resolved.
