WHITE SPECKLES IN CLASSIC LONG HAIR BY LINDAY

Hello there,

I am new to Daz Studio and I really enjoy it. This is the first problem/challenge I've encountered and as I like the hair so much I eould really appreciate it, if someone can relate to my problem and solve it.

I am finding that all the dark hair colours, possess tiny white speckling which is noticeable unfortunately after I've rendered. I have spent a few hours now and asked a merchant friend who advised me to ask on here.

The picture will show the speckling and I hopoe it is enough to resolve this issue.
Thanking you in anticipation for any help.

Steve

It could be a few things.

Try rendering with an environment or with a HDRI  visable.

It could also have to do with your lighting

  • I lower the dual lobe, glossy and some other parameter I am forgetting to get it much lower reflectivity...maybe its reflectivity parameter, have to look when I get home. But Linday hair, while my favorite, def loads in super specular.

If that's an Iray render, it looks to me like you haven't let it run for long enough. By default, iray renders will run for two hours and then stop, regardless of the state if the image. Go to the "Progressive Rendering" section of the render settings and push Max Time up to some very high value, then let the render run till you think it looks right.

I've had that same problem. I think it has something to do with the hair shaders, but I have never been 100% successful in overcoming the problem. Interestingly, I don't have the same problem with the Linday Bang Bob Hair.

If you put max time to zero it will have no time limit.
