How can I add textures to obj files ??

Hello there. I've got a question. how can I add textures to obj files in Daz ?? I've already seen some people replying this question. everybody says " select the surface and add its texture " but my obj file is just one and cannot be selected. the textures are more than one file and cant be added in that way. any other suggestion ??

    Is your Obj UV mapped?

You need a 3D application like carrara or blender. Select the faces you want to have another texture and add any texture to it. Then export as obj or fbx. Then you could add shaders in Daz3d. Hope I could help you.

Has it „one“ texture map or are there more material zones?

    They're more than one.

Then you should be able to see them in Daz3d under the surface tab.

  • I left another comment before but it doesnt seem to be posted though its been two or three days since I wrote it. I managed to export the textures in Blender. but this time , the object became transparent. however , the hair which should have had transparent textures is still flat

Hi Jessica, you can’t use blender textures in Daz3d. You have to „re shading“ in daz. In daz select the Surface and apply an Iray shader from your content. Another solution for your transparent surface maybe flipped normals in blender.
