My dim is defective

Is there anything I can do to get dim to reset itself. Will uninstalling it work?

For example, I used it to uninstall daz 4.11. It did not do it. it shows up as downloadable again. I download it, click to install. It flashes briefly and removes itself form my to be installed list, but doesn't actually do anything.

I woul dlike to start afresh. is there anything I can do?
