as the title suggests i am working with daz studio 3.1.2.32 advanced 64bit, i recently installed daz studio 4.6 and have been toying with them both. the problem that i have run into is that since installing studio 4 when i sometimes load an item in studio 3 than i attempt to rotate the camera a small rectangular section of the view rotates and moves but not the whole view. if i let it sit for a minute or 3 it eventually clears and than it behaves corectly. also if i try to move the item i load with the xtran xtran ztran around the scene nothing happens until daz catches up. i am not sure how to trouble shoot this so if anyone has had this happen before or know how to fix this i would appreciate the advice. also for those of you that celebrate Merry Christmas!

sincerely

AMD Radeon HD 6570

not sure of any other info i might need

Have you recently updated the video driver? DS4 should not have had any direct effect n DS3, other than changing which application "owns" the .daz and .dsa etc. formats.

as far as i know i have everything updated but as far as any recent changes to windows etc no i have not. i havnt messed around with daz much in a long time but i recently thought about messing with daz again and downloaded daz 4. was trying to figure out if it was worth changing to daz 4 as i was pretty familiar with daz 3. but after rendering a scene with daz 4 i decided to compare it in daz 3 and i noticed the error. i aqm thinking it is definitly a video issue but wasnt sure why i decided to have it now after daz 4 installed. to be honest it may not have anything to do with daz 4 its just that is when i noticed it.

well im still not sure what causes it but i have found that if i open and than close the docking area it fixes itself weird huh.

another quick question i am hoping someone can answer. i may have messed up with my content managing and want to know if i have the heirarchy right. i use a harddrive which i have labeled as Z.

for daz studio 3 content i currently have

    daz studio (z) /daz3d /studio3 /content /runtime

now my next question is should i have anything else in the same folder as content? i know mosy everything goies in runtime so what else should be in the content besides runtime? should anything besides aniblocks, data, people, quickstart, readme, runtime be in the content folder and if it is should it instead be in the runtime?

    thanks in advance

Any native-format files should be in the Content folder and not the Runtime folder, unless they are paired with a matching Poser file and are in one of the Libraries folders.

For DS3A your path should read Z:/Daz3D/Studio3/Content for both formats in the paths in Prefs.
