dForce My Guy Jeans and Shirt for Genesis 8 Male

I am using the 'dForce My Guy Jeans and Shirt for Genesis 8 Male' product but I am unable to work out how to release the buttons to allow the shirt to open in the simulation!

I know it will be something really simple but I just can't figure it out!

Can anyone help me?

Cheers!

Is there a open dial or such for the shirt or the buttons (or open morph for the shirt?) Perhaps in the Posing Tab.

Don't have the product so just guessing.

Interesting as I've had the opposite problem. :) By default, I think only one of the buttons is buttoned and I've wanted to make more of them button up and keep the shirt closed. I love the outfit. I think the jean shirt material in particular is one of the best we have available. But I wish there was something to explain what seems like it should be a "simple" concept of buttoning and unbuttoning the shirt.

I feel really stupid, Richard, but I don't understand how to use that information! Within the 'MyShirt' parameters, each of the nine shirt buttons is a çhild' to an unique parent. (i.e. RFB01 to RFB09) and those buttons position are located (still within the 'My Shirt' parameters structure) down the front of the shirt. What I don't understand is how I manipulate those button.

I am going to watch some of the DAZ dForce Tutorials & see if I can learn anything more from them.

Parameters or the Scene pane hierarchy? I suspect you mean the latter. Those sound like Rigid Follow Nodes for the buttons (so that they follow th shirt without having to be dynamic themselves) in which case deleting them would remove the button but not open the shirt. Unfortunately I don't have this set. Are you sure it's not just a matter of how the shirt is draped - perhaps some of the more open promo images used a helper prop to push the shirt sides apart, or perhaps a wind node was used.

Hi JonnyRay, In a round about way, I can help you!

I discovered that the body hair on my character was the reason the My Shirt wouldn't open. The hair was poking through the shirt and so that prevented the shirt from slipping over the torso!

So purposely puting poke-thru onto the chest of your character, and making it invisible, will hold the shirt in place!

    Cheers!

Hey Richard, Many thanks for your input. It is much appreciated!

I have actually discovered & solved the issue. It turns out the body hair that I had on my character was poking through the shirt thus anchoring it to the torso & preventing dForce from moving it!

    Cheers!
