I am looking for a tutorial on making a poseable rope in DS PRO. I can model the rope and texture it, but I need info on setting up bones and IK. I know there are a lot of poseable ropes (free and otherwise) but I would really like to learn the technique for setting up my own..
Thanks in advance for any help.

This post has rigging info, but the entire thread is relevant. Let me know if you have questions.

I am new to Daz studio rigging
    but
have found I can do something very simillar to what I do in Carrara.
    select the model
    under edit convert to figure
    you now have a bone
    click on bow shaped icon
right click choose create child bone
    right click again
    choose auto align
drag the little green and red gizmos to match it to you figure bits you want to rig
    repeat till done
    right click memorize rigging

    the click on weight brush
    open tools window
pick each of your bones one at a time

paint the blue bits of your model red selecting x rotation in tool window then right click copy paste fir y and z rotation
save it as a support asset figure

is silly simple way and prob has all the experts jumping up and down saying but you must!!!
    but
    it works for me!!!

No, that works, it just takes too long with 100 or more bones. The tutorial I wrote uses figure setup tab and auto weight assignment, which is unnecessary on a figure of few bones but probably helpful on something like a rope.
