Problem with the workflow from Daz3d Character into Motionbuilder and Maya

Hello everyone, I am at a snag. I am working on a project. I am using Daz3d, Bryce and Maya. I created a custom Character in Daz that I want to use in a scene in Maya. But first I want to add a BVH motion to the character in Motion-builder. One of the steps is you have to copy the control rig to the skeleton of your daz character skeleton. I baked the BVH motion to my control rig. But the problem is motion builder does not recognized your daz model as a character. So there is no way to copy the control rig to your character. Also I have a the same problem in Maya. The HIK menu does not recognized my imported daz character nor does it allow you to add a control rig to the skeleton. Is their a fix to this problem or is their a problem in the bone hierarchy. Please help!!! Thank you.
