Ghost Lights Question

I have the Ghost lights and seem to not understand what order you need to set the materials in order to not get a 3300K color versus a 5500K color (Please note, I am making references from a photography standpoint since the DAZ values do not seem to match real world Photography settings. In my mind a warm yellow light is 3300K and a white light is 5500-6000K).
I can choose direction with the Ghost light and I can choose the Material number (which 1000K in DAZ refers to a luminance rating if I am not mistaken rather than a color temperature),
Regardless, every time I light the object is all yellow. How can I make this a white light?

Do you still have an active HDR Environment map?
I'm not sure what you mean by "Material Number" - in the Surfaces pane, with the surface selected, you should see Emission colour (should be white if you want the temperature to work correctly), Emission Temperature (K) (I would expect 5,500-6,000K to be yellow-tinged), and Luminance (which is the amount of light emitted).
When you mean HDR Environment Map, do I always need one loaded to make the Ghost Lights work? Currently I have none for my Environment Map. Is their a base empty one to use with DAZ? I have various ones I use for scene drop ins but sometimes I dont need a background wrap around.
For simplicity I added one (definitely not what I would want in my scene). I loaded 6000K Ghost Light and it is still Yellow versus white.

If you look at the surfaces panel, do you see any change to the emission values when you use the presets? I'm not sure whether the issue is that you aren't seeing as much of a change as you expect, or if you aren't seeing any change at all.
If by Ghost Lights, you're referring to KindredArt's Iray Ghost Light Kit, make sure that you apply the base material marked "Apply This First" ( in the root folder of Light Presets \ Ghost Light Kit ) first. This sets several basic values that are needed before the color and intesity is configured. Once you've done that, KA has added presets for specific Artificial Light sources as well as the Time of Day folder which has various light temperatures. My final adjustment then is to the intesity usually starting with one of KA's Intensity Presets, then perhaps manually adjusting the Luminance value to tweak it as necessary.
How you are setting up tone mapping will have a lot of effect on things like light color. Biggest one is gamma that I notice, at the default 2.2 it looks a lot less saturated, I tend to set mine to 1, and the default settings on ghost lights appear a lot warmer toned.
Did you ever get this working with the presets and making sure to use the "apply first" material after posing it? I tried a couple of the presets just to show the warm-cool range from the time of day presets.
