Adding a light causes Weird Shadow
Hiya
I thought I had better start learning about lights, so I have just started to use and experiment with them.
I have loaded V4.2 and added a different skin & FlexiHair.
1. Done a test render with just the Default Daz Studio lighting.
2. Added a Distant light (Main) and Distant light (specular) pointing same direction as main.
3. Added a Distant light (Reflected floor) and Distant light (specular) pointing same direction as Reflected floor.
All lights have Deep shadows on (as advised).
Main Lights 100% : Reflected floor 20%
If I point the floor lights (from another direction (from the side for example) the weird shadows disappear.
But It makes no difference if I have the Reflected floor (Main) OFF and the Reflected floor (specular) ON, or vice versa, they still show up.
Any idea what the weird shadows under her chin are and what is causing them?
Thanks
Pete

First, try raytraced shadows, and adjust the shadow bias and shadow softness.
Thanks Totte.. I changed to Raytrace on both the Reflected floor lights... It got rid of a little bit of it but most stays the same.
I then turned the Bias and the softness from minimum to maximum, but that didnt get rid of them either.
If I change the Direction, or delete these two lights, seems the only way I can get it to disappear completely at the moment.
I generally leave shadows OFF for bounce lights (reflective floor lights).
Thank you for the question and answers.
I tried turning Shadows OFF... it still makes no difference.
I also tried using a Linear Point light instead of a Distant light.. No Difference
I Deleted the Hair... it got rid of about 90% of the marks.. which is odd really, as the direction of the light is coming from just in front of her feet - upwards.
