My mac doesn't run Daz as smoothly

Hello, I have a macbook pro, here are the specs:
- Processor: 2.5 ghz intel core i5
- 16GB RAM
I also have a windows pc with an intel core i3 processorf 3.9ghz and 8GB RAM. My windows desktop runs daz very smoothly and with almost no problems. However, my macbook pro has a lot of problems running the program. Even when I have the model (just 1 model) on texture shaded mode, the mac lags very much. The fan isn't even on so I know that it's not like my mac can't handle it. My partner has a macbook pro with less ram than mine and he is able to produce two renders at once! I don't know if there is a way to allocate more RAM to the program so that the program runs smoother. I know that RAM has nothing to do with the render itself, I just want the program to run smoother. Does anyone know of a solution for this? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Check your settings in preferences/interface, try setting display optimization to best, see if that makes a difference.
I'm still astonished even Apple would sell a "pro" anything with an i5.
But your best bet is to try what was suggested above.
Got you! Thank you so much :)
Very welcome;)
