Manuel Download Question

I need to manually downoad a new product, and wanted to know the precise path and folder I should place it in, so that that it will run properly.

What would that be?

Do you use the default content directories in DS? And what OS do you use?

By default DS uses the following content folders on windows systems:

    • "My DAZ 3D Library" in Public Documents, which is the default folder for content installed by DIM
    • "My Daz Connect Library" in Documents/Daz 3D/Studio, which is the the default folder for content installed with Connect
    • "My Library" in Documents/Daz 3D/Studio, which is the the default folder for content installed manually

To install content manually is rather simple:

    1. Extract the content zip in a temp directory
    2. Locate the "root folder" in the extracted files: it will be the one containing the main folders like Runtime, Data, People... If it's a zip from Daz there should be a "content" folder at the top of the hierarchy, that's the "root folder".
    3. Take all the folders you find in that root folder and move them to the "My library" folders in Documents. If you already have content there, the new Runtime should merge with existing Runtime folder, new Data with existing Data, and so on. If there's nothing there yet, then put "Runtime", "data" and so on directly inside "My library".

I couldn’t find a Manuel in the store, but Diego 8 was just released today. Hope that helps.
