More material zone views, please!

I really like it when clothing and prop sets have a promo picture that shows their included material zones. Like this one: https://www.daz3d.com/guardian-for-genesis-3-male-super-bodysuit
And I'd like to encourage more  PAs to include images like these with their products.

  • I second this. There's few things worse than grabbing an outfit with the intent to apply your own materials just to find out that they're all one zone.

That's it exactly! One zone with a single image map. So disappointing.

While i am all for it, you can create your own material zones with the geometry editor very easily

"Easily" depending on the geometry. And time-consuming. There is no regional selection possible (afik), so you'll be hand selecting with either a brush, a lasso, or a marquee, and this will take time. Also, sometimes it is necessary to hide geometry to get at some faces (for instance, the backs of buttons) to insure textures apply easily. More time. How simple it would be if all the constituent parts had their own material zones, ready to go.
