Half/Partially Rendered Images

For some reason Daz has started to partially render images. Part of the scene will be rendered then the other part will be completely transparent. I've opened and closed the program but the issue still persists. Has anybody had this happen before and/or can offer any help resolving the problem?

    A couple of questions..

    1. Which rendering engine are you using (Iray or 3Delight)?
    2. When you say only part of the render shows do you mean top-bottom or left-right?
    3. If top-bottom, is it the whole image (including characters, props, etc) or just the background?
    4. Have you checked your camera location to make sure nothing is in front of it?
    5. Also, if you're shooting an outdoor scene, make sure the camera isn't partially (or fully) underground.

    1. I'm using Iray.
    2. It varies. I've had it happen on the top half but after opening and closing Dazthe image renders right. However, in this particular instance it's the right side that isn't rendering.
    3. It's just the background/props. But is still weird because half the wall/carpet is rendered whereas the other half is not.
    4. I'm fairly positive thee is nothing blocking the camera. That said, I am using this camera to make lighting a bit easier. I've not had issues with it before though.
    5. It's an indoor scene.

Here's an example of the image.

So, this line in the product description has me scratching my head a little:

HDRI X-Ray Camera Preset (Allows HDRI Lighting of fully enclosed interior scenes)

I'm not sure exactly what PT is doing to make that magic work. It could be clever use of Iray Section Plane Nodes which allow you to shoot through solid objects. But I don't have the product to be able to check/verify.

I just tried it using the built in/default camera and had the same issue so it's not the camera.

That doesn't surprise me. Technically speaking, Iray doesn't have a lot of room for really special cameras like an engine like 3Delight would. I'm pretty sure PT is using Iray Section Planes. Can you expand your scene hierarchy and post a screenshot? I might be able to help point to the offending object(s).

Actually, it was PT's camera. Or more specifically, multiple instances of PT's camera. Going off your last comment I started looking to see if something was indeed blocking the camera. There were no objects, that I could see at least, but there were those red/green/blue markers that indicated that something was there. I started systematically deleting things and realized that when I deleted all but one of PT's cameras, the markings disappeared. Apparently it's not good to have multiple instances of that camera in the scene, which may or may not be in the documentation for the camera. I tried rendering out the scene with just one of PT's cameras loaded and it's rendering out as expected. Regular cameras are fine so if I want to setup a scene for multiple angles iIll just copy and paste the location from the regular cameras to PT's camera. I probably wouldn't have thought to delete the extra cameras so thanks for your help, all is fine now :)
