Months ago I saw a video, or read somewhere, about going past the default settings for bend, front-back, and twist. There was a way to unlock the limitations. But I can't figure it out\, nor find the video I watched. Also, I accidently remove the 'front-back' control setting from the parameter's tab for my left shoulder.
Can anyone help with my problems? Is the proceedure available for all figures? BTW, I'm using Daz 3D 4.11.
Thanks in advance.

Good Morning!
Here's a quick way to unlock limits.
-In the scene Tab Select all the bones for the figure
I use "Expand/Expand All" from the Scene Menu, then Shift+Click everything from the main figure to the pectorals. This allows you to grab everything quickly and only get the figure you want in the selection.
-Go into the Parameters Tab
-Right click to go into "Edit Mode"
-CTRL select all the dials you want to disable the limits on
Bend, Twist, Side-Side, Up-Down and Front-Back are the ones you want to make sure are selected they are all in "General/Transforms/Rotation"
-Right click on the selection and choose "Limits/Disable Limits on Selected Properties"
If you can let us know how you removed the Front-Back dial that will let us know how to get it back for you!
Hope this helps!

How did I remove it? Rats, I can't figure it out. I think under the 'parameters' tab I selected the 'front-back' option and then clicked on the little gear in the upper right. The menu that came up has an option to 'lock, unlock' (which does't do anything I can see) and I meant to click on it and instead I clicked 'hidden'....I think. Not sure if that did it or not.
On a side note, I just found my side to side isn't working for my left forearm, even though it works fine for the right. It's set at zero. Any ideas on how to get it working?
Go to the Parameters tab Menu, and enable Show Hidden Properties.
You should now see the Front-Back parameter. Click on the little gear and disable Hidden. (Remove the checkmark in the box by clicking on it.)
Now disable Show Hidden Properties if you don't want to see everything.
If you have several items in your scene, you can limit the expand to just your figure. Select the figure in the Scene tab, right-click in the scene tab, select Expand > Expand from Selected. then follow the rest of Elliandra's iinstructions.
You can turn the limits off for any given bone while you're posing that bone. Click on the tiny figure icon that is part of the widget for the Transform Tools: Universal Tool, Translate Tool, Rotate Tool, Scale Tool.
This image is of the Univercal Tool. While it was created to show the Restore option, you can see there are options to turn rotation limits on and off. (X-Rotate, Y-Rotate and Z-Rotate often have other names, like Front-Back, and it's the rotation options that move the bones when posing.)
The forearm bones do not move side-to-side by default in more recent figures. Instead, the rotation of the shoulder bone controls that movement, which is how the human body moves the forearm. However, if you'd rather use side-to-side in the forearm, you'll need to change the limits in the parameter settings, (that little gear that got you in trouble with the "hidden" option…wink) Click on the gear and and in the settings dialog, look for Min:, Max:, Use Limits, and As Percent. Chances are, both Min and Max are set to zero. I suggest you enable Use Limits and As Percent, then set Min to -50% and Max to 50%.
However, I recommend you learn how to use the shoulder bone to move the forearm. You'll get more realistic results that way.
L'Adair..."Go to the Parameters tab Menu, and enable Show Hidden Properties." I can't find "Show Hidden Properties". I tried right clicking in both panels, as well as left clicking. That option doesn't appear.
Also, "Click on the gear and and in the settings dialog, look for Min:, Max:, Use Limits, and As Percent"...That's the ticket I was looking for, Thanks. But I'll try to learn the other way and save this for a last resort. Thanks.
