"The Girl 6" - Won't Load

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Just installed Daz 4.6, and also purchased The Girl 6. I used the install manager. However, when I try to load her, I keep being told that Genesis2Female.dsf, and CTRLGirl6.dsf are missing? I've checked twice and the files are there. Any suggestions on how to get this working? Screenshot attached.

Everything was installed using the DAZ Install Manager.

    The directories are...

    and

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female

    The files are....

    11/08/2013 11:38 AM 1,880,211 Genesis2Female.dsf
    10/28/2013 02:23 AM 668 CTRLGirl6.dsf

Yes. I even tried adding the directories where I know the files are.
I'm not sure what the point of the Install Manager is? I'm using only Daz products.

You only want the path up to and including "My DAZ 3D Library"
And make sure it's listed under Poser Formats also..

    That worked!

Now I have a new error. It's saying this file can't be found. I don't know if it's part of Genesis, or The Girl 6?

    /data/Age of Armour/Subsurface Shaders/AoA_Subsurface/AoA_Subsurface.dsf

It's part of "Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio" which is free with DS4.6 but a separate zip..

FYI Daz Products started as ONLY poser format before they started including DAZ Studio file formats to the content. Always set DAZ Studio to load content as Both Formats when setting up your folder paths. Many Published Artist still create content in Poser format for use in DAZ Studio.

Decided to switch to my MacBook Pro. Having the same problem with content for "The Girl". Only the directory layout seems different. The directories I have mapped for content are...

    /Users/lsrivers/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio/My Library
    /Users/lsrivers/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio3/content

    Am I missing one?

  • edited December 1969

    Figured it out...

    The directory missing is....

    /Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Library

Why this isn't included when you install DAZ, I don't know.

It's included on a new install now, but if you update a previous install it preserves your previous settings.
