Bug: 40,000 empty nodes created in save file, will take forever to delete them individually is there

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

I saved a file with several V4 models in it. When I reloaded it some of the models have around 2500 empty nodes associated with them.

These are all named:

V4AbdomenBackFwd (xxxx) where xxxx is a number like 2538.

If I delete it with right click delete, then the number goes down by one, and one node disappears from the scene info.

The scene currently contains 40,617 nodes but only about 9 figures. This is probably what is cause it to take 5 minutes to load and a long time to manipulate any poses.

Does anyone know how I could select all these empty nodes in one go and delete them all?

It sounds as if the hidden DForms that adjust V4 as she is posed have been duplicated - if you start a new scene with a couple of V4s do you get the same thing?

if the nodes are not nested inside a figure you can sort by name in the content pane and opt click the top one, opt click the last one and hit delete. If they are nested inside the figure you may need them, you can disable them being shown by going to the details tab and clicking the tick mark/check icon off Show/Show Hidden Nodes, but in the past when I removed them I sometimes found myself looking down at my an empty desktop with no explanation why Studio vaporized before my eyes.

Quick question: When you load the file Does it keep updating the the dialog box with "Loading Asset...
" (or reading asset, I'm not in front of my windows box) like once every 5 - 10 seconds and take forever to load the scene?
