Just updated.

When I close the advanced view of the timeline, I no longer have the entire play controls on the bottom of the pane.  Only Loop, First, Play, and Last.  I really need step, add and remove there as well.  Any way I can get those back without using the advanced view cause its just too damned much to leave open?

    If you go to window> workspace > customize you can add anything you want. On the right side go to menu tab, then timeline pane to get to the right spot. On the left open up the animation, and drag from left to right. On the right side you can reorder stuff by dragging it around too if you need it. Hit apply to see what it looks like, then accept to make it happen.

    Oh, I am a dumbass, all that does is change the dropdown menu that you can get to advanced view from. Herp derp moment.

    Not that I am aware of, but you can collapse unneeded sections of the pane which may help.
