if for instance a person is in the water you would expect the water to interact with the object...

right now i only have reflectionss in the water... that is something but i think that the waves should also be interacting with the liquid

is there a way to make bryce do so

thanks in advance

You do that in a similar way to how I made the waves. You make your water from a terrain object rather than a volume water slab, and you draw the ripples onto that in the terrain editor.

i was hoping for something more automatic

but: it is exciting to use terrains for water... this didn´t come into my mind and it opens up pretty amazing possibilities

    thanks!!!

@mail-039 - terrains are the best bet for water that is not calm like on a lake. Rings of waves when you drop a stone into a pond can be made with torii (rings). To get the result of the pictures shown, you would use a terrain and rings. Nothing automatic, I'm afraid.
