If your primary usage is Character animation you are correct.
However a Dynamic IK system in Daz studio without the still"posing tools" would not go over well with the majority of the user base who only use still poses
Daz' s problem is that they are adding animation tools in an Ad hoc fashion that actually compete with each other for control over the animation Data being generated with Zero documentaion for their newbie animators.
I know this is an old thread and I don't know if you found a solution, but if you were using Genesis 3 or 8, try locking the XYZ translations and rotations on the ik chains while your animating/setting keyframes. Once you've finished removing your keyframes, unlock the XYZ translations and rotations on the ik chains.
What do you mean with "locking translations"?
Pinning the bones?
