Trying to import an FBX from Carrrara

I've got a rigged model in fbx format that works quite nicely in Carrare 8 Pro. The rigging all works nicely, I would like to get it into DAZ Studio (and ultimately Poser).

When I try to import the figure into DAZ|Studio Pro I get an error message about invalid scaling and when the figure loads the mesh is rotated 90 degrees one way and the skeleton is rotated 90 degrees the other way. (see attached ppicture)

What is going on? Is there a bug in either Carrara's export or DS's Import?

The model doesn't have a head, so that's not a problem.

you might if lucky get it into carrara using dazcollada export
it will be rigged and animated but the rigging will not "stick" or save
I have managed to sirt of get some .duf saves to reload after much random fiddling not knowing what I am doing in figure set up.
I have never gotten any further than that point, certainly not been able to save it for use in Poser.
in the figure set up tab you might be able to select it and transfer from scene under the righthand horizontal lined box then save as a rigging template but this is all very dogdy to say the least and I have had no success in sharing

I tried the DAZ collada export and the bones work, unfortunately the mesh wads itself into barely recognizable taffy strings. *sigh* Right now I'm trying my hand at rigging in Poser.
