Great looking character
Excellent in almost every way except the tail, which, instead of being a continuation of the spine, appears to sprout from the lumbar region.
Great sculpt, and that fur is gorgeous!!! Are we able to use d force on that fur to make, say, his facial fur blow in the wind?
Thank You
Do you make this comment without actually looking at the character?
Because given the anatomical shape of this beast, the tail was in fact designed to grow where it would make the most sense.
The hair is able to be dforced....it is too short for a big effect, but it should blow around.
When I saw this Rawn, I just HAD TO HAVE IT !!!! This is one amazing character, I'm proud to have it in my RawArt collection!
Two thumbs up buddy!
Greetz,
Antonio
Thanx Antonio :)
I bought this as soon as I saw it this morning. Only had a short time to try the figure out, but he looks fantastic. He's definitely going to feature in my annual Halloween renders this year. Great work, RawArt.
cool...look forward to seeing where he prowls
Looks pretty much what I imagined a true Wolfman would look like. I snatched him up along with both of Joe Quicks offerings today . Thanks for making him Rawn! This has turned out to be one of the BEST sales periods DAZ has turned out in a good long while. Great offerings and good prices.
Glad you like him :)
i don't know. He's not really wolf enough... or maybe he's not man enough... or maybe he's not ape like enough... Just kidding! He's awesome! Another great RawArt creation :D
He is awesome - and the real clincher for me was 3DL materials! Thank you!!!!
Thanx guys...look forward to seeing what you come up with for this critter
Given that the shot you just posted isn't on the product page, I could hardly have seen it, could I? I was going off promo 2, which I can now see gives a false impression of how high up the tail emerges. I apologise for implying you had give little thought to the placement of the tail.
It depends what you consider good results.
You do not have to simulate the hair, if that is what slows you down. But if you cannot load the hair at all, then it will look like this:
Which still looks cool, just not as fluffy
I purchased this and am happy with it but it would have been nice if the tail could be hidden with one click.
There really is no way to do that since at the very least the tail is two parts, the geometry and the fur.
Can you put cloths on this dude? Does Dforce push down the hair when he has cloths on? I don't have any d-force hair products yet. I'm looking to do a Wookie like character.
The hair will poke through clothes, but you can turn off sections like you would any other figure. It wont work for all situations, but gives a good base.
Hmm, turning off the hair might work if I put pants on him, but maybe not a harness or chest strap.
If poke-through is really bad then you can always spot render the area with the hair off, and layer it in photoshop , masking off the areas where you want no poke through
Two options I can think of:
What RawArt said
Use Substance Painter or something to do an Ambient Occlusion map. Basically, the parts covered by clothing will be masked. Clean up the result, plug it into PS Generated Hair Scale.
I have yet to master masking in Photoshop.
I have Photoshop, but not Substance Painter. I'm not sure I understand what an Ambient Map is.

should help
Way cool! Might work for some of my werewolves but not my main girl. Now I wonder what a female RawArt werewolf gal would look like.
She would look like this
