Editing purchased animations

I'm a new user. I purchased a looping animation and I want to move my characters hand. But when I make the change it only applies to the individual keyframe. How do I apply my change across all keyframes?

Comments

  • Changing one key won't apply changes to all others that would make editing without destroying animations impossible. If this an AniBlock, or is it actual keyed animation on the Timeline?

Just by itself, it is painful, it is easier with animate2, where you can add a 'sub-channel' and have a pose, etc., add or over-ride the current animation.

Hi  if you do not already own the graphmate plugin for version 4.11 then install the 4.12 beta and you will have this option included.

If your animation is an aniblok then choose "bake to studio key frames"and you will have access the the frames for the characters  hand and can edit them some or all as you wish in the graphmate panel in the new timeline.

If the motion is a .duf animated pose file
the hand parameter keys will show in the now FREE graphmate panel in the 4.12 beta & beyond.

  • I "puchased" this but it didn't come up on my install manager?

    https://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta

  • I've tried several times now, it never appears in the download manager. I tried to download and install manually with no luck.

  • You need to enable the beta builds in IM. In the "Ready to Download" tab at the top there is a button called "Download Fliters", click it and scroll all the way down till you see "Public Build", enable that and you should be able to see 4.12

  • Thanks I see it now. I will let you know how I go with the animations

  • Ok so it installed fine but graphmate is not showing up as an option under windows>panes(tabs)

I refreshed and restarted. When I checked "about Daz Studio" it says I am still on Version 4.11.0.383 pro edition (64-bit)

Any ideas how to activate my update?

  • UPDATE

I've installed 4.12 and am using it however there is still no graphmate in the panes menu. GRR

Same, I also don't see them in the plugin list. Have 4.12.0.67 which is the latest I think. No new downloads in DIM for it anyways.

  • With 4.12.x.x you have the tools from GraphMate/KeyMate built in to the Timeline pane.

Regarding the plugins: the general release and beta of DS are installed in different directories and have separate "plugins" directories and settings.
If it's the first time you've installed a DS beta then you will need to reinstall plugins so that they're installed to both "plugins" directories, otherwise the beta won't see them.

If what Richard says above is correct then graphmate and keymate are in my Timeline panel although I don't see them there. How do I know?

I can right click in the animate2 panel and select "bake to studio key frames"

This does allow me to move limbs around and have those movements animate multiple keyframes together. But, and this is a huge but, the pre-loaded animation stops working the second my animation begins.

If you ar eusing the 4.12 public Build they are there - you will see the dopesheet and graph in the Timeline pane. They are not there as separate entities.

I think you gotta click on the pizza slice in the top right corner of the panel and put it to advanced view. Don't take my word for it, I don't really animate, but it looks like a dope sheet to me that pops on the bottom in advanced view.

What you're seeing in my screen shot is the advanced view

  • Click the dark block in the middle of the divider above the play controls

Sure, when I click the little black box a grid of some sort comes up. I don't see any additional controls or anything that helps my issue.

I'm taking another screenshot to show that I am 100% in advanced view.

You don't have anything in the scene, let alone with keys, as far as I can see.
