Thanks for the suggestions.
There are also free models at 3DWarehouse and dmi-3d.
Harley Davidson Street Glide.
Nice
...so this thread continues. Nice. Most of the cars I have are from the store here or Rendo as on other sites they are usually in formats that don't import and I just don't have the skill to convert and clean up any issues in a modeller (and if not free, usually out of my budget).
Still looking for a good original Mini Cooper with RH drive. The one sold here years ago has some smoothing and Ngon issues.
Also looking for a good 25 window VW Safari. My old grade school had a couple which they used as school buses.
Thanks!
The push-button ignition was a luxurious way to start your car until it wasn’t

One of my sisters has a Honda with push button start. It shuts off if you wander away from the car a certain distance and locks up the doors.
Dana
My Tacoma does that also
ah.. but does anyone else remember the foot pedal starters? Last time I saw one was in a 53 Chevy pickup my mate George owned back in the day..
1959 Chevy Apache
Oh yeah I had a 57 Ford truck with one and my Granddad had a 54 GMC that had one
Found this pic today would make a cool 3d model
Look at that stovepipe exhaust!

I feel like it's not that far off from an existing model in the Daz store, but I can't remember what it's called.
well.. I do have a 47 Dodge COE..
Cool
...nice.
For those who like a bit of futuristic weirdness, I offer this free 3D model of a car that looks like a computer mouse:

...
Lukon100 - clever! and nicely done!
Here's a 1970 AMC AMX/3 - sadly the deal to make these fell through.. model is a Sketchup model - tok a lot of work to get it to be really useable.
..now that's a rare one. .Nice find and good work getting it in "Daz" rednering shape (I've heard numerous tales of getting Sketchup Warehouse models fixed & cleaned up)
I remember seeing it mentioned in a couple of the car magazines of the day.
Made by the company who' we in Wisconsin affectionately referred to as "Kenosha Cadillac" . I used to work at their parts distribution warehouse in Milwaukee in the 70s.
Now that's a nice tie in! I exported it from Sketchup as a 3ds, then pulled it into Poseray, did a vertice weld and normal recalulate and then exported as ,obj.. that was a good starting model..
Good job @hacsart! And I admire your skills and patience:)
Thanks Mate!
Very good job
Thanks! And like your conversion from SKP format, that computer-mouse lookin' car was a conversion from another nurbs format, a SolidWorks file. It took me months to fix the mesh up, 'cause I don't know all the tricks of the trade.
This car is up on ShareCG. https://sharecg.com/v/99077/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Car-De-Ridder-Quail-V1#
This may or may not be the first mention of the Automation computer game in this thread...
So glad I found this thread!
There are such awesome cars here, but that 67 Chevelle, though.....
Reminds me of one my friend had until gas prices started going up & he had to get rid of it.
Funny that I was actually working on a render with both a car & motorcycle before I found this thread!
