Saw this today at Walmart
I'm surprised there are still any of those on the road! But then, I'm sure there's a club just for them!
Dana
Yeah and this one's in really good shape
It had a California license plate on it
Before I retired, I had spare cash to buy 3d models. just getting around now to digging them out and rendering.. I think this one may be one of those, possibly from the old De Espona model series from the late 1990's.
Latest - 1933 Napier Railton 24Liter W-12
Here you go then.. I remember these - there's a fellow around her that has 1965 Monza, still running and looking good!
Looks good
Brough Superior - model from Grabcad - but it took a major bit of grouping indivdidual parts to make this work in DAZ.. Still needs a bit of work. Need to do some more grouping in Simlab, I think..
My dad had three of these Corvairs. A "Spyder", A "Corsair" with fuel injection, and a regular one. He loved them. He said he figured out how to keep them running. The rear engine was a helicopter engine wkith the cylinder heads mounted sideways, not like a "V" setup. He said the valve covers would leak oil out real bad and most would run pout of oil and quit running. He said the valve covers had only four screws holding them on. In the corners only though the heads had a center hole drilled from tyhe factory that the valve covers did not have a hole for. He would take them off and drill two holes, top and bottom center and put them back on with six screws instead of four. He said the engine would not drip anymore oil and they would run forever. He was right.
Got this today. Nice little hot rod. Problem with it is...no headroom for the driver. At the right scale, the driver and passanger's heads go through the roof.
How about this Corvair pickup! Sketchup conversion.
side gate!
Nice ones all!
Indian Chieftain Dark Horse... (GTA mod conversion)
Excellent
Really nice!

Posted this in the 3DL thread, thought it might fit in here too;)
Nice!
Dana
Some really amazing renders going on in here!1
Good one Sven!
Confession time.. the Indian render was done in Iray (experimenting with new video card (needed it to play Outer Worlds- a tale of a case that couldn't easily fit standard crds without a lot of work (Fractal Design Core 1000) can only handle long cards if you remove the HD main bracket (the power connectors will foul it., but then you loose the upper drive bay).. So had to look for a smaller card - Gigabyte GTX 1650 Super was on sale locally, so.. but then had to repalce the case side fan with a 120mm slim one.. It never ends..)
Am I giving up on 3DLight? Nope - I actaully prefer it as a renderer, but I thought that now having iray as at least useable, might be fun to play..
Looking forward to seeing more renders, IRay or 3DL:) Yeah I thought those reflections were very nice. So what about rendertimes, IBLM on CPU versus IRay on GPU? I bet the latter are a whole lot faster?
I'll do some testing, using the same scene one with IBLM and the other with Iray and Iray materials.. stay tuned..
I got this dragster frame assembly over at Turbo squid in the freebies section. It has a few material zones so the chrome was able to use. I put this engine in it . Obj. format. Free to anyone.
Got this BSA motorcycle over at Turbo Squid also. Free.
This too.
And, this hot rod engine.
Ah -- The BSA Bantam - I remember those!
Love the dragster!
