Nvidia RTX 2070 vs Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti

I need to buy a new graphic card but honestly, I don't know which will be better to work with DAZ.... 2070 RTX or 1080 Ti
Can anyone please advice?
Thank you so much!!!

How much memory do you need - how big do your scenes tend to be? The current Public Build will take advantage of the RTX features so will be faster for scenes that fit in 8GB, but the 1080Ti has an extra 3GB or memory for larger scenes.
I would go with the 2070 super.
Well, I'm going to get a brand new computer because my current computer is 9 years old and I kill myself over here to make DAZ work properly without chocking everywhere..
I'm going to get a i7 processor + 32G RAM memory
I'm not planning to work with full scene settings on DAZ... just rendering isolated figures and isolated buildings / scenes... but I need them in 5000 x 5000 pixel or a bit larger..
Good luck finding a 1080ti at a reasonable price.
If you need 5kx5k I assume you're doing this for print work, You might be happier with a professional card as VRAM will matter almost more than CUDA count but even used those cards cost more than either the 2070 or 1080ti, although I did find refurb Quadro P5000's (16Gb VRAM and the same actual GPU chip as the 1080) for $1300.
I changed my mind, 2070 supers should be called 2070 poopers. Mine arrived today broken lol.
That happens especially when you let UPS drop kick it a few times. RMA should be pretty easy.
Puralator were the soccor fiends in this story. Yeah, hoping they get back to me first thing tomorrow with a label to slap on and send. Waited almost two weeks already to get it.
2 weeks? That's a long time, did you pay to have them strap it to a drunken hockey fan or something as your delivery method?
Surely NewEgg or Memory Express ship faster than that.
It was strange, usually amazon is fast as hell, but this order not so much. I also had to get a monitor that had the right hookup, as my "old" one only has one of thos vga type inputs. Looking at it in perspective, this is the 5th computer I have built and the first time ever I recieved a broken part. So I think up until now I have had amazing luck in the PC component department lol. Just so happens to be the most expensive one I ever bought by a longshot, which tastes icky. I been reading forums and such, it seems a lot of RTX cards have been dieing, got me worried. Hopefully my replacement will be solid.
