Two questions about GeoLocator

I found this interesting application for DAZ Studio called GeoLocator:
https://www.daz3d.com/iray-geolocator
This is a pretty interesting tool, and I wonder how it accesses scene backdrops from the location you choose? Does it rely on Google Maps or Google Earth to retrieve the images?
I wonder if it can locate even small communities in Newfoundland such as, say, Come by Chance or Codroy Valley, and if it can navigate through roads or streets like in Google Street View?
I did learn that the Moon 360 I purchased a long time ago does have the ability to navigate along the surface on the moon.

I purchased the GeoLocator plugin today. But I do have one problem. I cannot display the viewport after I select the location I want to use.
I did learn that I can only select the core communities in Newfoundland via search function. No Come By Chance nor Codroy Valley unless I click the estimated area on the map of Newfoundland.
I may have found out the problem. I have to set the viewport to Aux Viewport.
Moved to technical help as it is a question about a product, not a Product Suggestion.
First off, thanks for moving the thread.
Second, I tried out the GeoLocator again this evening. I am having problems with displaying a background in the Aux viewport window. I click the location, nothing comes up in terms of background. How am I supposed to display the sky settings in the Iray GeoLocator window and the location background in the Aux Viewport? I thought it was a straightforward tool to use, but I am starting to believe there is something I missed.
Are you using nvidia iray shading? I *think* you have to be using that to see it. I don't have the product, and I never use anything other than hdri for outdoor lighting, but that's how it works to see hdri maps to position them.
Geolocator only sets the Environment variables to the location chosen. It sets the Latitude/Longditude so that the sun appears in the right place for the time of year and day time settings chosen. You can do the same manually without it but it just makes it easier. The background is just the environment dome and sun so that is all you will see, only in Iray, and the haze settings will be set in the sun settings area of the Environment, which can also be set manually. I use Geolocator occasionally but generally just do it manually.
I tried out GeoLocator, and I had thought it would be useful for creating scene backdrops as depicted in the images on the product's page in the DAZ Shop. But the more I think about it, the more I am starting to realize that the product wasn't what I had expected - it is nothing more of an environment creator. Money well wasted, but thankfully not a lot.
Another big issue I have with the plug-in is that when I try to render the Genesis 3 figure, even in Sun-Sky Only mode, the figure appears to be bluish in color after I render in iRay. It may be further proof that the GeoLocator plug-in is a dud.
Looks like I will be uninstalling the plug-in later today, since it was not what I had expected. Maybe someday there will be a plug-in that will add backgrounds taken from Google Maps or Google Earth to the Environments - that would be a pretty cool plug-in, but hey, I can dream.
