Looking for a product to complete my render

I'm working on a character concept for the main protagonast and support characters for a novel I'm writing on and I need two things to complet the main protagonist character concept.

In the book, he has a pirate style cutlass, similiar to one below, but of course it's magical, with blue flames.  I assume I'll need to add the flames in photoshop, but I'm having a heck of a time finding any swords in the store similiar to a pirate style cutlass.  Does anyone know of any products that come with such?

I'm also looking for some sort of leather hood that can be incorporated with existing armor.  I based his look off this, but no face mask.

 

I'm using the Genesis 8 male for all my renders, so it would need to fit G8.

    Have you looked over on Rendo? A search for “cutlass” over there turns up a few assets that might serve. (Older, but possibly still workable.)

    Thank you for te response!  I TOTALLY missed the pirate weapons.  I'm not sure how as I thought I searched the store pretty thoroughly!  Thank you for that!

    As far as the sword lord,  great minds think alike!.  That's actually the costume the main protagonist is wearing. :-)   My problem with that hood is that it the back warps when the character is looking certain directions, so I was looking for a replacement hood.

    Thank you.  I found the site and did see some cutlasses that may do the trick.  I still don't understand the real differences between the assets from here versus the assets from there.  I BARELY have a grasp on the differences betwen Genesis 1,2,3 and 8 - and apparently there are characters for each too!

    So much to learn!

    The biggest difference is that DAZ develops the Genesis figures and rendo sells products for them. They also have products for other, non DAZ figures and products for other software such as Vue, poser, Unity, max, etc.

    if you do plan on purchasing from places other than DAZ, please look and learn the install file paths for you product because other stores don't always follow the same install paths and it can be a headache unless you know where your files are going.

    Thank you!  That's good advice - especially since I have no clue what you're talking about!  Time to take a look at the old hard drive and see where things are.
