Lights! Where are they coming from?

As you can see, I've made a planet. I added one spotlight... Not only is it completely illuminated but the shadow is going in the wrong direction! I want there to be a darkside as if a sun is shining on it.
Advice?

Check your render settings. If the only light you want is the spotlight, then go to the Environment tab and select "scene only" under Environment Mode.
edit: also, the way lights work in Daz, you may not be seeing the spotlight at all. Lights in Daz default to 1500 lumen/m^2, which isn't very much. Go into the light settings and add a few zeroes to the Luminous Flux property, and/or the cm^2 factor in Render Settings / Tone Mapping.
