I am having trouble trying to use the clone assets function in Daz studios 4.6 every time I try to use the function that GD dialog box pops up saying there has to be two figures selected to use this function. I tried putting another figure in the scene and select all and the same thing happens. Do you have to buy another plugin to use it or something can anybody please tell me were I am going wrong I actually bought what was supposed to be a guide to Daz studios and that was about the most useless fifteen bucks I have ever spent in the whole book the clone assets never was even mentioned.>:(

I have no intention to againts admin, but flankly said, even though I know the documents,
(which simply show what we can see by tool tips in daz studio)
there is no detail, or clear guide, when we use, for what purpose.

About many case, I can not get usable information about each Action.
the writer who make document seems not understand it.

I know when I save, it make new DSJ file in data tool directory(I have not found them before)
and it is action for save clone assets from the name.
then it is one of JSON, as same as DSF etc,

but I can not grab what puropse it need, and how it work at all.

though I have saved many clone already which saved as morph, and it work when I use auto-fit.
I need to ask samething,, " how to use the save as clone assets " ?

then it is funny because, usually,, save aciton is basic of anytool.
I have not seen such aprication, which do not guide about save option clear.
eventhough it is frist time to use the aprication, usually I can grab the meaning and usage clear,
    from the documents.

then why daz guys can not understand these luck of their doucmentation
    about ds action,, still?

To get a DSJ file you need to have two figures in the scene, the first one selected will be the one the data is taken from, it can be a Poser or TriAx figure, the second figure you need to use Ctrl + left click on in the scene tab, that way you have the "Root" of both figures selected, the second figure has to be TriAx (Genesis, G2, Dawn etc) for it to work.

However all the DSJ file holds is the bone data (center & end point etc) and the names of any modifiers (morphs) on that bone, still haven't figured out what it's any use for, as a clone is a morph and doesn't need rig data to work.

wouldnt it be used for autofit? Or is that a different type of clone?
