Lost render window

Waiting for a render to complete (60+mins), I pulled it out of the dock to see how it was looking. It went to the desktop and then vanished. Daz studio kept on rendering but I have no idea what happened to the render window. Is there a way to get the render back?

Can you see it in the taskbar?

if so can you mouse onto and click it?

sometimes temporarily changing your screen resolution can help you retrieve lost windows too

  • I googled this too

    Keyboard shortcut

    1. Press Alt + Tab to select the missing window.
    2. Press Alt + Space + M to change the mouse cursor to the move cursor.
    3. Use the left, right, up or down keys on your keyboard to bring the window back into view.
    4. Press Enter or click the mouse to let the window go once recovered.

  • Given the reference to the dock, I suspect this is a Mac.

File>Save Last Render should let you save it once done.

  • Thanks for the suggestions, SadKity.

Thank you too Richard, I have had to use that a few times but it saves it as a jpeg, is there any way to change that to tif?

There should be a file type option in the save dialogue, including tiff and png as options.
