Genesis 2 Bot Armor Problem

Hi I just got the Gen 2 Bot armor bundle and I am having a problem with it. The arms, legs and head load fine but the torso is messed up so I end up with a half naked gen 2 female. The chest front and back are only part there and the pelvis front and back are not there even when loaded.
So who do I contact about it?
I have 4.6 64 bit Daz Studio on Win 7 64 bit.
Any help appreciated.

I'd like to help. Can you provide more information: Maybe show a screenshot. Are you in DAZ Studio or Poser? What version? One thing you might check is to be sure you have Genesis 2 Female selected in the scene tab (studio) before you load the Bot torso.

I am using Daz Studio 4.6.1.33 64 bit. I will give it another go and be sure check what you said. I can post renders which look the same as the active window. Give me a bit to get back to it.

    Thanks

OK here are 2 quick renders one front and one back, yes Genesis 2 female selected in scene. I just loaded the BotArmorAll as the same happens when loading each piece.

Assuming it's like Bot Gen, click on surfaces tab and apply the desired metal shader preset.

Right, exactly. More specifically, with Genesis 2 Female selected in the scene tab, on the Content Library tab, navigate to My Library (default), People, Genesis 2 Female, Materials, Bot Armor, then apply one of the material presets. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I was waiting for your post but didn't get an email notification. Anyway, as the saying goes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Your image made it clear to us that the textures were missing and not the actual body parts.

Geo-grafting is a little weird to comprehend if you're not used to it. But basically, what is going on when you load a Bot Armor part is that some of the original figure's geometry get's replaced by the add on figure and some of the original geometry is still there. So you have to apply the material preset to Genesis 2 Female at some point to get the full robot effect.

But how do you do if you just want the human face? It doesn't matter where you apply the texture, to the pelvis, to the armor, it always apply to everything, wich covers the face of plastic, also i can't mix colors, if I wanna do one arm yellow and the other blue, happens the same, when apply the texture to just one arm it applies to everything again.

Good question. The answer is more specific to DAZ Studio than it is to this product (meaning keep this trick in mind for other products and situations).

To apply material presets to just the surfaces that you want to change:

    1. In the Scene tab, select the Figures that you want to apply materials to (you may need to expand Genesis 2 Female to see Mechanical figures that are parented to it).

    2. In the Surfaces tab, select the surfaces in each figure that you want to apply the materials to.

    3. In the Content Library tab, hold down Ctrl while double left clicking on the icon for the material you want to apply.

    4. In the Material Preset Load Options dialog, choose “Selected” from the Surfaces dropdown then click the Accept button.

OK I knew there was something I was not doing but did not know what it was, Thanks for the explanation. I will give it another go today sometime. Now I don't do much in Daz other than to pose and dress figures for export as either obj or collada if they will work in collada which some do and some don't. I use them in Vue for the scifi work I do, I am a hobbyist not a pro.
I am glad you offer support here for your products which I like. Thanks again.
If I have any further questions I will ask them.

OK I got this far with the bundle for Bot Armor. Funny when you apply the material from Content/Genesis 2/Bot Armor/Materials the dialog box calls for Victoria 6 duf which I don't have of course but it still seems to work, I think here is a quick render.

    Xdye,
Once you get the figure textured select head then go to Smart Content/Genesis 2 Starter Essentials and scroll down to one of the Bree faces and double click it will load the human face you can also change eye color at that time also then save. Now every time you change the overall texture in the right content files it will change the face skin so get the texture done first then do the face skin and eyes. Oh and you can add some genesis hair to the figure also.

I'm not sure its the best result but I applied the SSS Shader Base from Age of Armor to the Brows Material Zone and that helped me matching the brows to the rest of the face.

This is something I am working on. I used the AOA SSS Shader on the skin areas and then modified them as I like.

    Hi Isikol,

Here are my notes for Poser from the ReadMe. Please let me know if you are still having problems.

Poser: To Apply mats created for V6 to Bot Armor connection ends and Surfaces like Face, Torso (chest), and Hips in Poser:

Note: Since Bot Armor Materials Presets change all materials at once, you should apply them first before selectively applying materials made for V6

    1. In the Pose Room, Preview tab, in the upper left dropdown menu, select a Figure that you want to apply materials to (you will need to do these steps for each figure that you want to have V6 mats applied to).

    2. In the Library tab, select the V6 materials preset that you want and double left click to apply.

    3. If a dialog comes up mentioning creating materials that don't exist, choose “No”.

    4. Only the surface that matches Genesis 2 Female should now be applied. Alternatively you can use the Material Room to copy/paste materials from Genesis 2 Female to Bot Armor figures.

Ok, see if this helps: Select Bot_Head in the scene tab then make sure "Fit to" is set to Genesis 2 Female in Parameters tab > Misc.

Bizarre. I have no idea what is causing that. Have you tried deleting the head and loading another one (make sure Genesis 2 Female is selected in the Scene tab first)?

If that doesn't work, I'll need some more specific information like your DS build and the steps you took to get where you are at, please. :)

Do you have Display Optimization on in the preferences? Set it to None and see if that fixes it.
