Okay, I'm not certain which is more disturbing....

That the Genesis 2 female's head can be turned into a Fly....

...or that AntFarm would actually try to do it...(& get it to work!! :bug: )

Not that I'm complaining, it's certainly an impressive morph job,

but DAMN! :ahhh:

I have to wonder what prompted him to even make the attempt--I mean, does he try this with every figure & it just so happens that it was Genesis2 that finally let him succeed, OR WHAT??

The fly looks great. but it does disturb me, especially combined with human parts. I could deal with it being totally alien but the hybrid is quite alarming. good work!

Sort of goes with the "Cold War Lab". Anyone see the original "The Fly"?

Of course! "The Fly" is one of those classic B&W 1950s movies that got made into a gory, disgusting remake mess in later years. The same goes for "The Thing". Imagine James Arness (yes, Marshall Matt Dillon of Gunsmoke fame) as a homicidal carrot. The remake makes you want to lose lunch.

The Fly Girl could only come from the Ant Farm. I would expect no less. That one of these, and maybe the Anu Naki would escape from the Cold War Lab only makes sense. :cheese: The half morph version is truly creepy...

Me, I can't have too many arthropodal or reptilian people in my libraries. I'll buy anything like that forever, basically. :D

Actually, It doesn't surprise me that Antfarm would come out with something so warped. Of course I snagged it immediately!
Here's hoping he never quits watching B movies!!

I'll have to add this one to my list of things to buy. The B&W version of "The Fly" was one of my favorites as a kid....

"Help me, Help me..." it still gives me chills!

And the little girl in "Them!" when she hears the giant ants, she screams, "It's them! It's Them!" That's a classic. Of course Ant Farm has those giant ants in stock. Just keep them away from the sugar...

What else could Ant Farm resurrect from the 50's? I don't think anybody's done a Preying Mantis in 3D. ;-)

As long as the fly girl isn't portrayed in skimpy skimpwear, I think my sanity will remain in check. =-) LOL

Actually, I'd prefer an exoskeleton. Maybe some plain body armor with a leather shader? But, after all, she was designed to be a hybrid. ;-)

    ROFL!

Actually, I had a dream based on "Them!" once. In my dream, the flamethrowers and machine guns were replaced with hoses spraying the ants with a watered down solution of ... strawberry preserves. The ants would go into sugar shock and die. Weird, but that's what your brain does to you after you stay up late watching cheesy movies!

I need to watch "Them!" again--it's been a while...you would think the army would have asked for a ton of Raid rather than flamethrowers! It's more likely they would call Smuckers (as you dreamed) :-)

Edit: Deleted scene--Exterior. Army General with phone. "Call the president. We need 50 tons of Smuckers, now!"

Someone did. I just picked one up in the Rendo Clearance sale earlier this week.

Of course it's not an anthropomorphic praying mantis. Or human sized.

Yep, that's the one. Straight out of "The Deadly Mantis". All you need is this item crushing some of Chris Schell's aircraft models, and you're all set! I guess a Mantis is a little too basic for the Ant Farm. Not as much of a challenge!

OK, how about an Octopus model and a model of the Golden Gate Bridge? (evil grin)

I've been asking for geo-grafted insectoid stuff for Genesis, in the product suggestions sub-forum, for a while. Very glad someone's finally done it!

Now, if someone could only do some limbs to match it, we can go full HR Giger with this thing... :D

It's using HD mesh. That's the advantage of Genesis 2. Would be nice if it was compatible for both genders, though, yeah.

    HD is not mesh dependent.
Genesis 1 can have hd morphs made for it just as easy as genesis 2. In fact I have a genesis 1 hd character coming out very soon.

HD is a function of d/s...and any mesh can be subdivided into HD. But that being said...if a mesh is designed poorly, it will not subdivide nicely to HD. That is where daz figures are good, they have well designed meshes.

Interesting... So, technically, the Genesis 1 creature creator could have been updated to have an HD version?

The Exo creature creator body morph plus emaciated and androgynous looks pretty good with it. :)

HA HA just found this and had a good laugh. Rawn I did not think it would work on G1 but I guess yeah that makes sense it could/would.
The movie "The Fly". original, really creep me out. That ending alone was so memorable. But to the question of why.... I guess because I wanted to see if I could. You know you see other people doing neat stuff and you wonder can I do a decent morph for the HD function.

I want to do some more, like the tooth fairy in Hellboy or the homunculus in don't be afraid of the dark, the remake not the original.
As to why creepy stuff, it's just funner.

ROFL! She could be a cocktail waitress in a re-imagined Star W@rs Cantina scene. ;-) Either that, or one of the bounty hunters...

Now how about a Thri-KreenYeah, that'd definitely be a good character to build, given Genesis has a Four-Armed geographed figure out there, it just might be possible--I just don't know how to pull it off, though. Regular morphs are much beyond my skills, Geographing makes my mind go splody!

But I'm seriously impressed, AntFarm! I can't do morphs for shit--but that you'd even try something so extreme, much less make it work is beyond fantastic. Thanks! :-)

How about those creepy crab-creatures from "The Brain Eaters" which also had Leonard Nimoy as one of the actors.
I talked my poor Mom into taking me to the movies to see this for a maitinee when I was around 5 years old and I slept with my back to the wall every night for almost 20 years, afraid those critters were going to crawl around the corner.

But it's ok now..... I'm almost normal.
