Shadow Catcher not affecting the alpha channel of the final render image.

Hey guys!

I made a basic shader in the shader mixer which utilizes a shadow catcher brick.

Any ideas how to make the results of the shadow catcher brick to appear in the alpha channel of the final rendered image? So far the objects shaded with that method does not show at all in the alpha channel.

If I change the background image of the viewport itself (as the tutorials say) it works, but what happens if my intention is compositing the files outside daz?.

Suggestions, ideas...

Happy new year!
:D

You could try feeding the output of the Shadow Catcher brick to the Opacity input of the Surface root brick.

    Hi Richard,

Thank you very much for your fast response, it works now. I think I tried this, but somehow did not notice the effect. :)

    Happy new year.
