I am so confused with what fits who.....

Hello all,
I am new to the whole 3d scene and strugling with what to spend my money on... I bought the V5 and M5 Pro Suites. I then bought the Anime Manga Starter Bundle not realizing nothing is compatible between the two. I am just trying to build a decent library of hair and clothes so I can make multiple characters easily. What should I be looking for to get this going? Do they have clothing bundles for any of my characters? Should I return one gen of stuff and just stick to the other gen? Would I be better with gen 4 or 5?

I have already spent several hundred dollars and feel like I have no versatility with my items to make anything. I plan on doing graphic novels so will need many characters. Any guidance is appreciated, also am I missing something where I have more than I realize. Thanks in advance!!

Generation 4 has a lot of stuff for it, its been out the longest. G1s were out a relatively short time before the G2s came out. G2s are pretty new and don't have as much stuff available. I'm new at this too but I think you should look at the items here sorted by what fits who. That way you can see what characters are available for each generation of models. Also check other sites like Renderosity and Runtime DNA, and ShareCG and do look at free content for things you can use from morphs to outfits. You can buy a character set and use those textures and morph your own faces and things. Get outfits that have morphs and are easier to fit to a custom morphed body if you can. You may find you'd rather buy just what you want or need rather than buy a bundle. If you have hair you don't really want to use on anybody, its a waste. Or your novel is urban and you don't need an archer. While you are browsing the content, you may see an outfit, then decide to find a character that works with the outfit and put things together that way. I think it would be best to buy what you need to create your characters as you need it. Just my newbie opinion.

I will be able to use my Hiro4 and Aiko4 morphs hair and clothes correct?
