Daz3d selling renders question.
I've seen this question asked many different ways and it is unclear to me still after browsing the forum.
If I make renders of 3d models in daz3d with clothing/poses made by other people, and then use those renders in a unity in a visual novel game will I need to buy a license for any of it or is it already included?
To ask this question even more precisely. I want to make renders in daz3d. I want to use the rendered picture as a normal picture. Not an animation or making an actual character in a videogame that moves around nono. I want to use the actual render as an image that pops up in the video game when a certain event occurs. Does this type of use of the rendered picture require me to buy anything?
I've read everywhere on here about license this or license that, but I don't want to make an actual 3d character that moves around flailing it's legs no. I just want to use rendered pictures in the visual novel/game that pop up during events. The game itself will use the models that come with the game. All I'll be doing is using the rendered picture as an event that occurs. Thats fine right? Same goes for making multiple rendered pictures into an animation for an animated event. That's fine too right if the picture becomes a movie type animation gif?
I can do whatever I want with rendered pictures in the way I described above right? I don't need all these fancy indie and interactive licenses right if I'm not making the renders into actual 3d characters that kick and move their bodyparts along while they walk around in a videogame/visual novel ya?
Please some smart lawyery person respond with precision, thank you!

I'm no lawyer. My answer is no legal advice. If you want the lawyery answer, I suggest you seek out one who's specialized in this type of law.
That said, the EULA is pretty clear about what you can and can't do. If you bought the content in the DAZ3D store, or it is a DAZ3D store "Free" item, then you can sell and use the images you create using those items in whatever fashion you like. It doesn't matter if it's a novel, comic, some porn, animated gif, or full scale animation, something you put on a mug or cushion or tshirt and sell that, or rent it out or sublicense it... You don't even have to use the DAZ STudio application, but you can shuffle it to Maya or Blender or Poser...
A rendered image is all yours, you have all the property rights to it, and the rights of usage are yours. It's all in here: https://www.daz3d.com/eula
(You could also create a 3-dimensional render that you can look at from all sides, and still be within the EULA for the regular license.)
In regards to "indie" - that no longer exists, except as a legacy type. If you buy content now, and what to extract the actual geometry&maps to a game or other similar things, you'd have to get that "fancy" interactive license.
Oh, and one more thing. If you decide to print out your object/scene as an actual 3D object, that is okay as long as you don't intend to sell it or give it away.
That said, if you are using content from other sites/stores, or free items from the forum, or shareCG, or other places in your renders, make sure that you study their terms of usage in their EULA or ask the creators if it is okay to use he content comercially. For example, many of the free items available on the Renderosity site, or freebies from the DAZ forum can only be used in a non-commercial setting, which means you can only render the resulting image for yourself and nor sell it - even if that free item is just somewhere in the background.
I hope that his helps clearing up the fogs a bit. The entiry rights things is not simple, and it doesn't help that you can have different rules according to different countries. For content bought in the DAZ3D store, USA and Utah laws apply.
You might not be a Lawyer, But boy you sure did nailed that explainations, Great explainations, I may steal your comment one day
