Problems with Render

Hi everyone ~ I'm a newbie , hope to get help :)

1. I just discover some kind of liquids (raindrop, glue , water drop/splash ,etc) But the problem is all liquids become a black surface when I render , when I add some lights , it did change a bit but the whole liquids look more like metal blocks reflecting light than some kind of water :( Anyways , I don't want to add light (Point light ,  Linear point light) near the liquids(they will become black-liquid-block if I don't add lights to them) whenever I want them to reflect the lights :/

2. About the shadow (people's shadow) , I want to have my character's shadow reflect on the ground , I did add some plane , turn on cast shadow for people and even bought some shadow packs (I don't know if it can bring shadow to my characters or not) but none of those works :(

I hope someone can help me these problem :/ As always , thanks in advance !

  • Iray or 3Delight renders? Are the items you are using Iray, 3delight, or both - and if both which are you using?

With the liquids, is there a surrounding scene of soem kind for the water to reflect and refract? If the scene is empty then reflective and refractive surfaces will often come out more or less black.

In iray sahdows are non-optional, but you do need a surface to catch the shadow.

I used 3Delight render , and there's no surrounding scene , it's just a hand pose with water drop :/ Do I need to add a surrounding scene or a background for the water to "looks like" water ? :/
