Setting up brand new PC but... Download Failed!

Aghhh gaaaaadddd!

Spent too much time on this so time to ask experts. Using DIM (Windows 10 Pro), my downloads are getting to anywhere between 10-90% and failing. Repeated start queues and they eventually download. This is proving to be a royal pain...

So I've turned off firewall completely, turned off for just DS and DIM, changed location for install files (from C to D drive - both fast SSD), and to date nothing, still failing.

Is there something obvious I am missing here? DS 4.11 seems to be working really well, rendering superfast (RTX 2080), but for the life of me downloading our existing catalogue of files is a nightmare.

Any help would be hugely appreciated, and yes I have seen this asked before.

    PS. I'm a mac user, but we have decided to set up a high-end pc given the bang for buck. So bit of a learning curve!

    Sounds like its most likely an issue with your net connection. Are you on WiFi?

    No, LAN. I can confirm working fine on our Mac - same lan network.

    Ok, so this morning it is working perfectly. I possibly fixed the issue in my sleep last night! 

    PS. 4.12 looks promising, did a test render of one of Stonemason's scenes - wow! So fast!
