Is there a streamlined way to edit clothing texture? Or an official tutorial?

That's a pretty broad question. There are lots of tutorials on texturing, but there's no one true way to do it.
What's a good intro tutorial for someone very familiar with Photosohp (and other 3D suites such as 3ds Max.... and also the old Second Life avatar platform before they changed things up pre-2012) - though relatively new to Daz
I don't know about free ones, but if you want to spend money:
It's done by a PAs who also sell clothing in the store.
Export your clothing item mesh (hide everything else in the scene. everything)
Use UVrmapper Pro or simialr to open the item and save a uvmap template image. Dont edit the uvs, just open and save.
Open your template in pshop and colour inside the lines :)

So I'm trying to learn how to texture clothing and am following Esha's 'The Complete Guide to Texturing Clothing'. I know this has been brought up in other threads, but since UV Mapper pro is no longer available, and the classic version does not work on the newer versions of os x, does anyone know of any alternative software that would specifically allow me to apply the created photoshop textures to the template and visualsie what it would look like on the 3d mesh. I own Headus UVLayout, so I am able to produce the templates, but in the tutorial Esha has created a Photoshop to UV Mapper Pro action that updates the template in UVMP in order to visualise the texture on the fly and to see whether the different textures line up correctly and look right etc. I'm finding it difficult to find mac compatible software that can achieve this.
The below is what is has updating in her UVMapper to see her project on the 3d mesh:
