Hi, I´m currently contemplating getting myself the Blackmagic eGPU Pro and I´d like to know if it is supported by DS?
I´m using 2017 Macbook Pro, 15", 2,9 GHz Intel Core i7, Radeon Pro 560 4GB Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB
Thanks in advance :-)

The GPU is an AMD chipset, so you won't see the CUDA boost in iRay. So, it would give you the equivilent of having an AMD RX Vega 56 or AMD Radeon Pro 580 card in your machine.
Thanks! Is there a unit you can recommend that does speed up rendering times that is compatible with my above mentioned Mac and supported by DS?
Bigger problem is that Mojave (and Catalina) only provide EGPU support for a (very) small subset of AMD GPUs, and don't provide support for CUDA on even older, factory installed, NVIDIA GPUs, so you're stuck running High Sierra unless you're running Boot Camp (or booting Windows 10 natively from an external drive), in which case, you're probably better off just running the Windows version of DS.
Sure, you can get NVIDIA cards to work (in High Sierra or earlier), but be prepared to do a lot of tweaking and troubleshootig. Out of the box: ain't no way. See State of EGPU for Macs—Mojave 10.14 Update for more info.
Thank you!
