Having trouble with pwGhost shaders

I bought pwGhost shaders today, but when I highlighted the surfaces of the object and double-clicked pwGhost, it doesn't work.

I am wondering if I may have put folders from the package in the wrong places?

If you are working with Iray they don't work they are for 3Delight.

Did you also have the object selected in the scene tab?

  • I had the surface selected.  Plus, I am pretty sure I had my render settings to 3delight.

Yeah you need to select the object/figure AND the surface:)

I just checked and its working for me in 4.11.

Did you install using DIM or manually? if I remember correctly its needs installing slightly differently to other content so a manual install may not have worked.

  • I downloaded it manually.

There are files that need to go in the application folder, not just content, so it's better to use Install Manager.

  • I did take the Install Manager route myself.  The pwGhost render works.

I have to figure out how to make a figure look ghost-like with an edge effect.  How can this be possible?

Have you tried the presets in the Resources folder? One of their standard tricks is just that, edge effects, like on Phantom or X-Ray. You have to render (3Delight) to see the effect, the OpenGL preview is not suitable.
