studio 4.6 installing content

quick question on installing content.

the way i understand it i can install content for studio 4 without unzipping and installing by hand by pointing studio 4 content manager to where the zipped files are? if so what about .exe files will it also install them?

thanks again for the time to reply i tried searching the forums but either im not wording my searches right or i cant find it

    Not with the Content Management Service, but you can use the stand-alone DAZ Install Manager to download and/or to install your content.

    so in my example i store all of my stuff into a external hardrive. so i can point it to the external hardrive and after it is installed i can disconnect my external and all the stuff i installed will still be in my normal content directory?

    You'd have to set the Downloads folder for the Install Manager to be on your external drive, but yes.

    DIM will only install DAZ 3D sold items. Keep that in mind. It was not built to install content from other sites.
