Sure!
Anything you want to see in particular?
I want a view of the entire temple itself.
This ok? Floor is extended and obelisks load separate (I just loaded the full scene here)
Heres one straight on
Perfect. Awesome.
Now for historical reference, as i see alot of Egyptian props made like this.... are these "temples" typically outside? How were these "temples" utilized? Is this the egyptians idea of getting some fresh air or something?
-MJ
Typically, at the foot of a pyramid.... like this. And actually for different things... leaving offerings to the god that was worshipped in that area (such as Philae being the temple of Isis) or even things to the King and his family buried inside, that they would need in the afterlife (tho the majority is buried in their funeral chamber)
This is the full scene load. I stuck in the palm so you could see that too at the same time
I normally see images of these types of sets, and there usually is a throne in the back of it (just like you have as well) and there's people walking around in a more leisurely fashion like the image shown below. Is this not accurate?
I am trying to duplicate this kinda effect as I thought this is how Egyptian "Leisure Time" was spent. No?
-MJ
What you show here is more of a hypostyle hall with a sacred lake These are more elaborate temples (the sacred lakes being where Egyptians bathed and whatnot, and priests would use them in rituals)
Mine was stylistically designed more like a mortuary temple, but it could be really used for anything. Close up, it would look no differently than a throne room, or any other temple, really. What makes it a mortuary temple, is the placement near the base of a pyramid (and its uses, of course)
Gotcha... i still like it and im still getting it! I just need to find a way to make it more "Hypostyle" as i need it as an outdoor set. I just wish there was something I could append it to to make it more-so like the porch of an Egyptian Pharoah's home.
Any other Egyptian-styled sets coming?
-MJ
Well, I think there is a couple on DAZ that might suit your needs. You could always use Jack's set and add a pool perhaps?

And there may be a few others. Sadly tho, theres not a lot of Egyptian stuffs :( So if you find one like that, let me know! LOL Coz Ive been wanting one too.
I do have one thats completely modeled (and modular) which has pools and is open style with a step pyramid, gates, facades, obelisks, columns, colonnades, etc. It even has a sarcophagus. But Im not sure if I will finish it or not LOL Architecture is kind of my kryptonite... I can model it all the day is long, but I hate texturing it LOL
Love this set, used it for an image in the Dawn contest: http://tigerste.deviantart.com/art/Scorpion-Princess-424901120
Ooooooh!! That is teh AWESOME! Wonderful job
Many thanks!
Well as I posted before, I think Dreamlight's "Touch of Egypt" is exactly that. I think its perfect for my needs with your props added to it, but its for DS3 and up and I use DS2.3. Wish there was a way to make that work.
I guess i will just have to find a way to make yours work as is.

Very nice indeed.

Yep, I think the ceiling comes off. I actually used that in my promos for Serpent Goddess (with some other stuff tossed in lol)
And ah... yeah, that one is nicely done. The greek key confuses me tho, being a history nerd (key is found in Greek arch, not Egyptian) Im kind of horribly pedantic when it comes to that stuff :red:
"Greek key"?
How did u make that pool?
-MJ

Greek key is a border design Greeks used in arch and paintings

And the pool... I think I added a physical pool in from another set, and set her atop the high parts, as though it were a step. I did the same with this one...
Ok. Nice touch.
-MJ
I think I used the water from this...
http://www.daz3d.com/ponte-maggiore
and the exterior of the pool "frame" itself?
-MJ
The second image you mean? Thats Egyptian Fantasy by DM over at Rendo (but its used sort of differently than they present in the set lol)
Either/Both of them! I like options!
-MJ
Well the first one is Jack's Temple of the Pharaohs, second image is DM's. Its a pretty safe bet when looking at any of my promos, the arch is either Jack's or DM's.... they are my fave arch ppls.
Im talking about the pool; not the arch. I see how u made the pool in the second image, im asking what you used for the pool in the first image?
-MJ
Oh, same water, from Ponte Maggiore. In the temple, theres a hollow, with a higher level... shes standing on the higher level and the water is loaded in the lower hollow part.
You can see what I mean here

I just treated it like an empty pool that needed filled lol
Ah! Gotcha!
