[Suggestion : "Show Asset in..." sub menu on right clicking objects from within scene] Title says it all. Often products have naming that does not let them be identified from within a scene. Things get nastier, when Autoifit (or similar) was used when setting the scen up. Sometimes I want to change, say the material for a pair of clothes at a later poinbt but is a major pain to get to the ressources (using Map Manager ATM).
Wouldnt it be wonderful if right clicking on a item within a scene would give the option you get when you do this with your very product from the content library? It would make DAZ a so much better planet!

Not a bad idea at all. But to really suggest it to Daz, you need to log it via the support request:
https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Near the bottom there'll be an option to say this is a "feature request" rather than a support issue.
Rob already has a sample script that will list products used by an object http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/metadata/list_products_used/start . Smart Content will of course filter for compatible items. I'm not sure, however, how things like AutoFitted items could be handled (though their maps would help). However, some items might be ambiguous - especilly if not from the Daz store and so not having metadata.
Thanks. that's encouraging news! I dont know, when a scene is loaded, won't be all items, genuine, 3rd party, metadata or not, loaded at that time (the loading screen suggests so) So, it should be pretty easy to keep the links to the product library they have been loaded from available as long the scene is active, no?
Also thanks to @JohnnyRay I was unsure where to place my feature requests, so this was a good test balloon! ;)
Doublepost, sorry, left the tab open.
