Help needed clothing dForce only

Hello,
I have recently started to make clothing in MD. The dress itself is not complicated. I imported G8F (base) into MD in the zero pose. Then I modelled the dress around this pose and exported it to Daz. When I applied the transfer utility, I again used the zero pose. I then applied Dforce and saved the dress. It simulates and without poke through. When I pose the character in a different pose, poke through starts but disappears when simulation starts. It looks like the dress is not autofollowing the character. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for helping.

I am not sure you are doing anything wrong perse. A lot of the clothing you see in the store have a bunch of adjustment morphs baked in, which make them conform a lot better in different poses.
The dress doesn't autofollow during the simulation as such. Autofollow is more for the traditional Studio method.
Is there enough geometry in the item you made, and does the geometry reasonably correspond to the figure's geometry?
I'd recommend adding a dforce and a smoothing modifier to a copy (incase you prefer without). Turning smoothing down to one might help the pokethrow, but not smooth out too many of the lovely wrinkles.
