Can I use genesis 8 poses for genesis 2

    The short answer is, out of the box, no.

    The long answer is, to my knowledge, there's no pose converter that can convert the poses backwards from a newer to an older generation. And while you can use M/V4 and Genesis 1 poses on G2 with just minor adjustments (you'll need Handy Dandy https://www.daz3d.com/handy-dandy or manually fix it), G8 has a very different bone structure, and on top of that uses the A pose as base, rather than the T-Pose of all the earlier generations. You can't even use G8 on G3 without adjustments (recommnded product: https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-pose-mixer).

    I came across a free pose conversion script at ShareCG that does all the combinations of Genesis from the original up to Genesis 8 and back again. I haven't tried it as I have the pose converters from the store but this one says it will convert from Genesis 8 to Genesis 2 and might be worth a look!
