What are these for?

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me what the triangular objects in the picture are an how I use them? I'm guessing it has something to do with posing the train of the dress, but I have no idea of how to select them.

Thanks,
~C

Skirt handles. They allow extra posing. Click on them and drag or turn the parameter dials.

I can't figure out how to select them. What tool do you use?

In poser, I just select them with the "Body Parts" menu or the Hierarchy Wwindow.
    In DS, I don't know.

In DS you can select them in the hierarchy of the clothing piece in the Scene Tab. I believe you can turn them off that way, OR you can find the handles in the Surfaces Tab, and turn the Opacity setting down to zero. That will also hide them so they don't show up in any renders.

BTW, it's better to make them invisible in the Scene or Parameters tab than to set Opacity to 0, as the render engine still does calculations when Opacity is zero; however, if it's an autofit Opacity may be the only way.

Also Keep in mind some Auto fits break the proper function of some handles. It can depend on the item and when it was made. I have a few that fail to function 100% after a auto fit.

OK, that explains why they don't work, I was autofiting it to a Gen 2 figure.

    Thanks for all your help.

Oooh, I never knew they would still be taken into the calculation with opacity at zero Oo
Very helpful info, still learning, thanks!
