What is a Geograft?

I recently purchased an item that says it's a geograft. I can find it's materials in my content library but can't figure out how to apply anything. Can anyone help?

A geograft is a special type of figure add-on which replaces part of the original figure by the add-on. For example it can replace part of the back by a new version with a rigged tail which would integrate seamlessly with the rest of your figure.

You apply it as you would apply any conforming add-on, like clothes for example.

I wonder if maybe I've neer worked with conforming add ons. Or if I have, I don't recognize them by that name. With clothes, I would load the clothing onto the character, select and then chose which materials I'll apply.

In this case, I don't even know how to load the "clothing". But if I could, I do see where the materials are. I just need to get over that one little hump first.

    What item is that?

It's not from Daz, it's from somewhere else. I didn't come with any instructions or anything.

  • Clothing is conforming add on = some of it even GeoGrafts (if you hide the trousers or shoes and the body part underneath is invisible that's usually why). Fitting them and applying materials should be much the same as usual - though GeoGrafts often have Hiearchical Materials presets so you can apply them to the base figure rather than having to select the fitted figure. The Genesis 8 eyelashes are GeoGrafts.

  • the genitals figrues are also geografts. if it was set up correctly, you select your figrue and apply the item in quesiton and it should snap into place. Then applying the material to the main figure should also apply it to the geograft, presuming it was saved the right way.

Failing that, look for directions or a readme for the item you bought.
